Jim Rogers III serves as the chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic Digital Pathology (MCDP) and senior administrator for Generative AI. 

MCDP facilitates the global scaling of digital pathology solutions to benefit caregivers and patients, advancing key areas such as scanning, storage, foundational model development and the creation and deployment of cutting-edge algorithms. Working with Mayo Clinic innovators and external collaborators, MCDP spurs innovation across pathology, a critical front end to many areas of medicine. MCDP is wholly owned by Mayo Clinic and seeks to incubate and start impactful companies while also investing in and acquiring existing companies. 

The Mayo Clinic Generative AI Program is aimed at reducing administrative burden, improving the practice and transforming healthcare. The program enables Mayo Clinic employees and innovators to create solutions using generative and agentic AI, as well as seeking out the best-in-class external solutions to support Mayo Clinic's three-shield mission across research, education and the clinical practice for the benefit of clinicians and patients worldwide. 

Jim previously served as chief business development officer, where he increased the sophistication and scale of business development activities within the institution. Together with his team, they grew revenue from less than $30M a year to over $150M a year. More importantly, the team, backed by Mayo Clinic innovators, commercialized countless solutions, enabling better diagnosis and treatment of millions of patients.
