Josh DeFonzo is the co-founder and CEO of Mendaera, Inc., a healthcare technology company pioneering handheld robotic systems that integrate ultrasound, software, and artificial intelligence to enable healthcare providers to perform needle-based procedures with greater precision and consistency. He has more than two decades of experience building and commercializing innovations across devices, diagnostics, and biologics.
Josh began his career at Medtronic and has held leadership roles at several Silicon Valley startups, including Invuity (acquired by Stryker), EndoGastric Solutions (acquired by Merit Medical), CareDx (NASDAQ: CDNA), and Auris Health (acquired by Johnson & Johnson for up to $5.75B). He is passionate about innovation at the intersection of disciplines—where creative ideas converge to advance human health.
He earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
