Aparna Vijayasekaran, M.B.B.S., is a reconstructive microsurgeon within the Division of Plastic Surgery and an assistant professor of Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Her practice focuses on breast reconstruction.  

Dr. Vijayasekaran joined Mayo Clinic in 2018 after completing her residency in plastic surgery at Mayo Clinic and a microsurgery fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. She currently serves as vice chair of innovation with the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Her research interests include outcomes and translational research related to breast reconstruction and incorporating new technology to reconstructive practice.
